JJR Motorsport over the past 10 years has built up a vast array of knowledge and experience at club level. James Johnston one of the team mechanics has raced with one of the country’s most successful teams HRS Motorsport, James was tutored by both Brian Hornby and Tristram Oman in his early days and brings a wealth of experience to the team.

One of the most important things about training is the ability to communicate at the right level, understanding and the ability to listen, evaluate and instruct, are essential skills. James at only 18 can empathise with younger drivers, while John a qualified instructor and trained Clerk of course brings other skills to the partnership.

As well as the team manager John is a qualified IT instructor and teaches technology in a Cisco academy, he uses all the latest available data acquisition equipment to analyse both engine and track performance. JJR utilises these skill sets in both training days and within the team during racing weekends.
